Without the media, things would take a longer period of time for people to find out about. It's a great cause and a big help to any foundation helping to raise their awareness.

I believe that all media is biased. Look at examples from two of the top major news networks, CNN and Fox. They both are very biased between politics from democrats to republicans. It's never good being too biased because there will always be people who only think and believe what they hear and it can cause problems. Like the view of Donald Trump, CNN saying things about him that aren't all that true. Media Bias isn't always good.
The media plays a major role in raising awareness for multiple organizations. Most people read what the media writes or watch TV. It is very influential on people's perceptions of certain topics. People believe what the media believes. When a cause needs attention, the media are the people who can bring awareness. It is very important for the media to be the spokesperson for important organizations that are trying to accomplish a good cause.
In today's society, one can say that the media has a significant impact on people's actions and opinions. Without media, many would be unable to be informed on local news and issues. Social media sites help make raising awareness much easier because it can be seen internationally. For example, Facebook and Twitter enables users to share/retweet posts they are interested in. This is a smart idea because other users will be capable of seeing posts they might not of had on their own site. Therefore, the media has multiple ways to raise awareness for many different issues.
I think the media gives too much attention to certain cases and not enough to some others. The media seems to focus primarily on the bad than the good. I feel that if the media focused on both equally good and the bad then maybe people would be happier by seeing all the good that goes on in the world verse just seeing all the bad. Especially celebrities and politicians the media seems to write all about the horrible things they do but you never hear about the ones who are doing well or helping to better the world.
The media is a big influence to the world. The media has the power to take any story and make it one of the most popular in the world. The media can focus on any topic and people will read it. So this is why they have so much powert. They can say anything they want and people will agree.
The media is responsible for covering many stories. The most important stories are stories that educate the public. Often time media doesn't take care of this responsibility and focus on stories that have theatrical value. Such as celebrity follies rather than covering important political information. Media that covers both of these types of storie is good media and a good source of information.
I believe that all media outlets are biased, and that you will never get the same story from two different stations. Most outlets have their own political agenda, and they have the freedom to convey their viewpoints as they please. This is good for political figures as they look to disway others from opposing sides. However, this is bad for the general public who looks to find factual stories with no media influence. Some major news outlets that are heavily biased include Fox News and The New York Times.
