  2. I interviewed Alexa on her family and discovered that her heritage is the epitome of 'The American Dream'. Her grandmother, Silvana, moved from Rome to New York when she was just thirteen. While her grandfather , Nicolo, moved from Sicily to New York when he was nineteen. Fate brought them together when Silvana's mother found a job in a suit factory. it just so happens Nicolo worked there too. Soon after meeting they fell In love and married five years later. Nicolo opened up Palermo Bakery in Maspeth Queens while Silvana raised Alexa's mother. The bakery still stands today but it is no longer Palermo. Alexa has never visited the current bakery but it is on her bucket list.

  3. While I interviewed my dad he got tense at some points because of some experiences he had to go through with being a firefighter. It was very interesting to hear some of his stories as a firefighter cause I usually hear his cop stories. Interviewing him made me learn a lot, not only about how brave you have to be to become a firefighter or a cop but about how interesting their jobs are.
